Thanks For Being You

Hi again,
I have been wanting to make this fringe for a long time. I think it turned out really well and adds a lot of texture and dimension to this card. I also fell in love with this paper pack, Far East (DCWV). The paper is absolutely gorgeous.

Products Used:
1.Cricut Expression/Gypsy
2.Home Decor Cricut Cartridge
3.Patterned paper: The Far East (DCWV)
4.Cardstock: Black
5.Mauve scalloped ribbon
6.Black brads (Recollections)
7.Thanks for being you stamp for other sentiment
8.Black pigment embossing ink pad (Craft Smart)
9.Detail Black embossing powder (Stampendous)
10.Heat gun
11.Double sided tape (Scrappin Gear)
12.Glue pen (Zig)
13.Scissors

How I Did It:
1.Cut black cardstock to 4.25"x11" to form base of card. Score at 5.5" and fold to finish card base.
2.Cut matte out of blossom (Far East, DCWV) paper measuring 4"x5.25"
3.Cut 3 strips measuring 1"x4" out of marbled (Far East, DCWV) paper.
4.Using a scoreboard score the entire strip at every 1/8th interval. Then cut each score line approximately 3/4" down making sure not to cut the strip into pieces.
5.Adhere the first strip of fringe to bottom of cut matte leaving 1/4" of the matte uncovered. Adhere the second strip half way down the first strip and repeat with the third strip.
6.To add dimension to the fringe pull it forward with your fingers until it looks the way you want it.
7.Place mauve ribbon along the fringe seam.
8.To make the cherry blossom branch use the Home Decor Cricut cartridge. Column #1, Row #2
Black cardstock: Shift/Shadow functions on, Cut at H.3.12
Patterned paper (same as fringe paper): Shift function on, Cut at H.3.12
9.Using glue pen adhere patterned cut branch to black shadow. Then adhere branch to blossom matte diagonally.
10.Adhere paper flowers to branch using black brads.
11.Adhere matte to card base.

You could give this card as is or you could add a sentiment.
12.Using a black pigment ink stamp pad (Craft Smart), stamp your sentiment above the fringe on the right hand corner.
13.Using Black Detail (Stampendous) embossing powder pour over stamped sentiment. Shake off excess.
14.To set the embossing powder use a craft heat gun making sure not to burn your paper.

I really love how this card turned out. The fringe looks fabulous and is an inexpensive embellishment. I hope you like it!!
