Cute as a Bug

I have continued the Valentines theme in this"Cute as a Bug" card. Once again I used the cricut Spring Holiday Cards cartridge. This card was super easy to make and you would be able to mass produce them quickly for classroom handouts.

Products Used:
1.Cricut Expression/Gypsy
2.Cuttlebug/Spots & Dots embossing folder.
3.Spring Holiday Cards cricut cartridge
4.Cardstock: Red polka dot, Black, White, Red
5.Red scalloped ribbon (Spool O' Ribbon, Offray) *I stock up on this ribbon when Michael's puts it on sale for. 33 cents a roll. It comes in a lot of colours and is an inexpensive embellishment.
6.Heart beads (I got these ones at the dollar store)
7.Beading wire (Bead Landing)
8.Double-Sided tape (Scrappin Gear)
9.Zig glue pen
10.Scissors
11.Scoreboard

How I Did It:
1.To make card base cut polka dot paper to 8.5"x5.5". Score paper at 4.25" and fold to make card.
2.Cut white cardstock to 5"x4" to make matte.
3.Cut black cardstock to 4.75"x3.75" to make matte.
4.Run the black matte through your Cuttlebug using the Spots & Dots embossing folder.
5.Layer/adhere black matte onto white matte.
6.Spring Holiday Cards: Cut "Cute as a Bug" at W.3.38", H.5" using red cardstock.
7.Before mounting "Cute as a Bug" to black matte tie red ribbon around bottom making a knot in the center.
8.Bead 6 hearts onto beading wire and fold in half so you have 3 beads on each side.
9.To secure the beads tie the red ribbon to form a bow making sure you have included the beading wire in the knot. Trim ribbon.
10.Adhere "Cute as a Bug" to the black matte.
11.Adhere layered matte to polka dot base.
