Hi, this site is where I can share my creative process. I love paper crafting!! My Cricut, Provo Craft, is my favorite tool. I like the versatility scrapbooking offers. One day you are making a birthday card and the next you are creating a wind chime. Thanks for visiting I hope you come again.

12 Months of Christmas: Mini Boxed Card Set
So it is one month after Christmas and I am already crafting for next Christmas. This year I want to be prepared for the Christmas craft fair season. No pulling my hair out at 3am trying to have enough product for my show that starts in 6 hours. This is why I am starting my 12 Months of Christmas series. The first project that I have created is a mini boxed card set. These are perfect hostess gifts, teacher gifts, mailman gifts or a little something for an unexpected gift...the recipient will be really impressed that you thought about them. So far I have created three different styles and I will be giving you instructions on my cream/red snowflake box (pictured on the far left).
Step 1: Making the Box
Box Bottom: Sweet Tooth Boxes: Page 60 in the handbook, Row#1, Column#9 on the inlay(SquarBox).
(1) Cut: 5", Beige snowflake paper (Yuletide, K&Company).
Box Top: Sweet Tooth Boxes: Page 60 in the handbook, Row#3, Column#9 on the inlay (WindLid).
(1) Cut: 5", Beige snowflake paper (Yuletide, K&Company).
Score/fold and adhere the box together. Using craft plastic cut a square measuring 2.5"x2.5" and adhere to the window inside the box top.
Step 2: Creating the Cards and Envelopes
Cards: Wild Card cartridge. Page 34, Row#1, Column#3.
(1) Cut: W. 5.69", H.2.77 (Gypsy). Cut out 4 using Beige snowflake paper.
(2) Score and fold to make cards.
Envelopes: Wild Card Cartridge. Page 34, Row#1, Column#3.
(1) Cut: W.5.69", H.2.77" (Gypsy). Cut out 4 using beige cardstock.
(2) Score/fold and adhere sides to form envelopes.
Step 3: Decorating the Fronts of the Cards
(1) Adhere red/beige snowflake ribbon to bottom of card (Celebrate It Holiday).
Snowflakes: Joys of the Season cartridge. Row#3, Column#9.
(1) Cut: Shadow function on: W.2.09", H.1.94" (Gypsy). Cut out 4 shadow snowflakes using red snowflake paper (Yuletide, K&Company).
(2) Cut: Snowflakes: W.2.09", H.1.94" (Gypsy). Cut out 4 using beige snowflake paper.
(3) Using the Imaginisce rock setter adhere crystals to the beige snowflake.
(4) Adhere the beige snowflake to the red one but turn it so it doesn't line up.
(5) Place dimensionals (Recollections) on the back of the red snowflake and adhere to center of card.
Step 4: Decorating the Box
Paper bow: Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge. Page 59, Row#4, Column#8.
(1) Cut: 5" using red snowflake paper.
(2) Using hot glue assemble the bow. (At this point you could embellish the bow further).
Finally take the red/beige snowflake ribbon and wrap it around the box gluing, only, the ends together. This enables the ribbon to slide on and off. Then using hot glue adhere your paper bow in the center.
I hope you enjoyed this first glimpse of Christmas. I look forward to bringing you something new next month. Have a wonderful day!!!
PS. I forgot to mention that your finished project will measure 3"x3".
